Former Chief of Staff Mark Milley describes Donald Trump as a “fascist”. He fears a second Republican term.

Former chief of staff Mark Milley has warned that Donald Trump is on the verge of a second term. Several media outlets are preempting reports from journalist Bob Woodward’s book, in which Millie expresses concern about Trump. Milley called the Republican presidential nominee “a fascist.”

Woodward reportedly wrote that Trump “shouted” at senior officials William McCraven and Stanley McChrystal during a 2020 Oval Office meeting. McGraven was the former admiral who led the operation that killed Osama bin Laden in 2011. Meanwhile, McChrystal, a retired general, played a key role in the killing of al-Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq.

According to Woodward, the now-retired general managed to convince Millie Trump to give up. However, Milley fears that if Trump is re-elected, such security measures will no longer be in place.

Woodward quoted the now-retired general as saying to him about Trump: “No one has ever been more dangerous to this country.” Millie, who has publicly criticized Trump in the past, has received “constant death threats” since retiring last year, the book continues.

Milley further explained that she was already suspicious of Trump’s “mental breakdown” in previous conversations with Woodward. But now he’s adamant: “He’s a total fascist.”

Milley was promoted to chief of staff by Trump in 2019 and continued under President Joe Biden. He retired in 2023.
