“Light sword training sounds as exciting as a roadside sobriety test,” one Disney viewer commented on YouTube. Another said, “It’s too expensive.”

The New York Times, which I recently got a preview of the hotel, She identified some significant additional costs that guests can expect to pay outside of the base experience fee.

Hotel accommodations do not include alcoholic beverages, which are about $13 for beer, $11 and up for wine and $23 for specialty drinks, or any fun “Star Wars”-themed extras, the report said. For example, it costs a minimum of $99 to hire a portrait photographer—or if you want to sit at the head of the captain’s table in Starcruiser’s Crown of Corellia dining room, you’ll need to cough up an extra $30.

However, reviews have been relatively positive since then, with a few exceptions.

In her review, CNBC said, “Indulgence takes on new meaningOn board the Starcruiser, noting the price is worth it, ‘if you’re willing to drop and play. Others criticized the expensive cabins, which do not have any windows, but instead have view screens showing videos of stars, planets, and asteroid showers.

Reviewers likened them to a “windowless shelter” and a “suburban high school built in the mid-1970s,” according to svgat.

They said the Starcruiser also lacks amenities normally expected in hotels at this price point, such as a pool and spa.

On the other hand, some of the guests liked the cast of characters who share in the immersive experience.

Along with Rey, Kylo Ren, and Chewbacca, guests interact with a crew of cruise ship workers who encourage them to fight for the resistance and carry out secret missions during their stay.
