It looks like Cinderella’s “fairy godmother” will wake up, too.
Cast members in Disney Baby Pobedy Boutique Now they’ll be called “Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices” – rather than “Fairy Godmothers in Training” – according to Disney.
The change is an effort to make theme parks more gender-neutral, Walt Disney World (WDW) News Today reported Tuesday.
The change of address is already reflected on both Walt Disney World and Disneyland locations.
The Disney blog, Streaming the Magic, also reported on the issue.
One post there noted, “This way members of the cast who may not identify as female can still be a part of the children’s dress-up and design process without having to refer to themselves as a female Disney character.”

Bibbidi Bobbidi boutique is set to reopen on August 25, after being closed during Corona virus pandemic.
A New York father, who took his two young children to Disney World in Florida, commented on the change, “I saw this [the change in title to ‘Fairy Godmothers in Training’] I think it’s absurd.”
He added, “Having a daughter who worked at the Bibbity Boppity boutique where this is being implemented, reinforces my thoughts that I can’t take my kids there anymore. They’ve just woken up.”
He also said that, in his opinion, “Disney’s footprint will be significantly reduced in a decade because of things like that.”
