Destiny 2 Beta: Everything you need to know

Early access for Destiny 2 beta is set to go live for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this month. In the meantime, developer Bungie has given us a new trailer revealing details as to what the beta has in store when it becomes available for everyone.

In the new Destiny 2 Open Beta launch trailer, gamers get access to key parts of the game. For instance, they get to play the starting story mission, Homecoming, which Bungie showcased at E3 2017. In addition, players get to try the Inverted Spire Strike mission along with Crucible competitive play.

In Inverted Spire Strike, you’ll have to assault a well-guarded Vex stronghold with the aid of two teammates. Besides, you can also use matchmaking to join hands with a Guardian fireteam. While in Crucible, gamers can play Control and Countdown modes. The former is your classic, Domination-style mode, while the latter involves a more flexible, attack and defend style of play.

Finally, players will also be able to try out a new subclass for each of the primary classes. For instance, they can try out the uber cool Dawnblade for Warlocks, Arcstrider for Hunters and Titans the Sentinel.

The above trailer certainly piques our interest. It builds the hype, giving us a taste as to what’s in store for Destiny 2. The new trailer shows off multiple shots of the in-game action, as well as details regarding what gamers can look forward to in the beta period.

That said, early access to the beta will only be available to those who pre-order either a digital or a physical copy of Destiny 2.
