Rising comedian Teddy Ray died Friday at the age of 32 in Rancho Mirage, California.

Comedy Central Television Network confirmed his death In a statement on Twitter: “Teddy Ray was a fun and lovable performer. He will be sorely missed by the entire comedy community.”

At about 10 a.m. Friday, Riverside County deputies responded to a call about a death at a private residence in the desert community of Rancho Mirage, Sgt. in Riverside County. Brandy Swann told The Times.

“The cause of death is unknown,” Swan said, noting that the investigation is being conducted by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
