Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson Not Ending Their Engagement: ‘Happy Together’

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are not going their separate ways.

Johnson’s representative confirmed to The Post that the couple has not called off their engagement or broken up.

“The reports are not true. They are happy together,” the actor said on Friday.

Rumors of a breakup have been circulating for hours, with sources reporting that Daily Mail The Coldplay singer, 47, has “accepted that the relationship is over and it’s best to move on” after seven years with the “Madame Whip” actress, 34.

Despite great efforts to resolve their issues, the perpetrator claimed that the matter was over for good.

“Chris and Dakota have been desperately trying to make their relationship work over the past few months,” the source continued. “They will always love each other, but they have come to the conclusion that the relationship cannot continue in the long run.”

“They are both busy people. Chris was in Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions and work commitments that don’t naturally mesh with each other.”

“They wanted it to work, but it didn’t, and now they’ve accepted that it’s best to move on,” the source said.

Johnson has attended several Coldplay concerts over the years, but since Martin is performing in Munich, Germany, on the European leg of his Music of the Spheres world tour, she has chosen to stay local.

Last week, the “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress was photographed walking her dog in Malibu, California — where she and Martin once lived together — without her emerald engagement ring.

Meanwhile, Johnson and the musician have faced their fair share of difficulties since meeting in 2017.

In 2019, the couple was said to have split because Martin wanted to have children; however, they soon reconciled after that.

Last June, the duo were said to have briefly split secretly before quickly getting back together.

However, in the same month, a source said, the people They added that they are still “going strong”, explaining: “They have had their ups and downs, but now they are definitely back.”

Johnson, the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, was last seen with Martin during a February trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where they were photographed on the beach.

The pair began their relationship three years after Martin “consciously” split from his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, before their divorce was finalized in 2015.

The 51-year-old Goop founder and lead singer have two children: daughter Apple, 20, and son Moses, 18. In the past, Paltrow has been vocal about her love for their blended family.
