Capcom dropped a bomb at the PlayStation Experience 2017 event by revealing as many as six new Season 3 DLC characters for Street Fighter V. These include Blanka, Sakura, Cody, Sagat, Falke, and G.
The first Season 3 DLC character to join the roster will be fan-favorite Sakura, who comes out on January 16th, the same day as Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s release. Her signature fighting gets enhanced by a special move called Tengyo Hadoken, alongside two V-Triggers called Haru Kaze and Sakura Senpu.
In the trailer, Sakura, who is done with school, jumps into the game on her classic stage, Kasugano Residence. Her younger brother, Tsukushi, as well as her dog are also shown in the background.
After Sakura, Capcom will release Blanka, Cody and Sagat, as well as new characters Falke and G. Capcom hasn’t detailed much about the gameplay of these characters, however, they’ve given us a teaser of the upcoming Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, which gives us a look at all the upcoming DLC characters. Do check out the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition opening cinematic below:
The Season 3 character pass will include all of 2018’s DLC characters. Players can purchase them individually using real-world currency, or they can even use in-game currency or Fight Money to buy them.
Street Fighter V Arcade Edition will be launched on January 16th, 2018. The game’s Arcade Edition is going to feature all the characters from Season 1 and Season 2, along with all the updates for just $39.99. It will be available on the PS4 in both physical and digital format, though only in digital form on the PC.
Capcom has also planned to introduce multiple endings for every character. Now, this could mean there’ll nearly 100 different endings in the game, given the fact that it’ll include all Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3 characters
Meanwhile, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will also feature an Arcade Mode, an Extra Battle Mode, along with new V Trigger moves. The game’s Arcade Edition will bring an additional V trigger for every character, which is said to significantly change your play style.
