Far-right commentator Candace Owens and conservative news outlet The Daily Wire have parted ways.
“The rumors are true, I am finally free. There will be many announcements in the coming weeks,” Owens wrote on Friday on Channel X.
Her post came shortly after Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boring announced the split from X, writing that “Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship.”
It's unclear exactly what led Owens and The Daily Wire, which was co-founded by Ben Shapiro, to end their partnership. Owens was among the company's most popular and followed figures, appearing on Fox News and Infowars. Owens is also in the middle a tour With Turning Point USA, a conservative organization that has recently gained power in the Republican Party.
The Daily Wire did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A rep for Owens said she will have more information about her next project soon.
Owens has been a controversial and outspoken figure in right-wing media and has been known for sharing conspiracy theories. She also clashed publicly with Shapiro on the X program in the wake of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.
Owens was one of the few far-right pundits to publicly criticize Israel's handling of the war in Gaza. Owens' critics say she spread anti-Semitism.
In X mail On November 13, Owens wrote, “No one can serve two masters,” and ended her post by writing, “You cannot serve both God and money.”
Shapiro Republished Owens said, “Candace, if you feel that taking money from The Daily Wire is in any way standing between you and God, then by all means stop.”
Owens then claimed Shapiro has been “acting unprofessionally and emotionally disturbed for weeks now” and went on to say that Shapiro “is[ed] A certain line when you come to get the Bible and read it yourself. “I will not tolerate that.”

The Daily Wire was founded in 2015 by Shapiro and Boring. The company calls itself “one of America's fastest-growing media companies and countercultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment” that is part of the “center-right media landscape.” Owens joined the company in 2021.
In addition to her escalating feud with Shapiro, Owens recently posted baseless allegations that French President Emmanuel Macron's wife, Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron, She is a transgender woman.
She previously claimed in an article: “After considering this, I would bet my entire professional reputation on the fact that Brigitte Macron is actually a man.” mail On X.
The French President addressed the allegation regarding his wife earlier this month. according to RIt's the New York Post. Macron reportedly said: “The worst thing is false information and fabricated scenarios. In the end people believe them and they upset you, even in your intimate relationships.”
