Candace Owens is parting ways with Ben Shapiro's conservative news outlet The Daily Wire

Far-right commentator Candace Owens and conservative news outlet The Daily Wire have parted ways.

“The rumors are true, I am finally free. There will be many announcements in the coming weeks,” Owens wrote on Friday on Channel X.

Her post came shortly after Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boring announced the split from X, writing that “Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship.”

It's unclear exactly what led Owens and The Daily Wire, which was co-founded by Ben Shapiro, to end their partnership. Owens was among the company's most popular and followed figures, appearing on Fox News and Infowars. The Daily Wire did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A rep for Owens said she will have more information about her next project soon.

Owens was one of the few far-right pundits to publicly criticize Israel's handling of the war in Gaza. Owens' critics say she spread anti-Semitism.

Owens then claimed Shapiro has been “acting unprofessionally and emotionally disturbed for weeks now” and went on to say that Shapiro “is[ed] A certain line when you come to get the Bible and read it yourself. “I will not tolerate that.”
