Airtel has introduced a VoLTE Beta programme for selected states in India. It invites users to test their technology and in return, Airtel will give data benefits. The offer includes a free data about 30GB which is categorized into three legs that are 10GB on downloading and enabling the VoLTE switch, 10GB on providing the feedback after the 4th week and last 10GB on providing feedback after the 8th week.

The Airtel VoLTE Beta programme is now available only in West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Kerala, Bihar, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh. The users who are interested to try this programme need to have a VoLTE enabled smartphone, an active Airtel 4G SIM, upgraded OS software and an enabled VoLTE switch. The eligibility of your number can be check in the site at “validate mobile number” option.When you will try to validate your number, a message will  prompt which will inform that you are eligible for the VoLTE or not.

According to Airtel, VoLTE service is going to provide the features such as HD voice calling, instant call connect and multitasking. The service was recently launched in Kolkata and in Mumbai. In Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh Telangana and Karnataka the service is already available.  Airtel’s company biggest rival Reliance Jio’s 4G network is based on VoLTE technology and Vodafone may be going to roll out its VoLTE service in Mumbai, Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka and Kolkata in the first phase of the launch.
