As if the news of Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 for the Switch wasn’t enough, Nintendo dropped another bomb during The Game Awards. The company officially confirmed that Bayonetta 3 is in development, and will be released as a Switch exclusive.

The Japanese gaming giant also gave us a short teaser of the game during The Game Awards, which shows off the main protagonist flaunting her iconic dual-wielding pistols, shooting a round of bullets into the distance.

The teaser shows an extremely fast, purple ghost-like character attacking Bayonetta, who she is finding rather hard to deal with. The two then finally face off and the trailer ends with Bayonetta disappearing and her guns drop to the floor. Not much has been revealed in the trailer about Bayonetta 3, but it’s an exciting teaser nonetheless and certainly intriguing in many ways. Do check out the teaser below:

As with the game’s earlier instalments, Nintendo has collaborated with Platinum Games for Bayonetta 3. Nintendo also confirmed during The Game Awards that Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 bundles are arriving on its Nintendo Switch. The bundle will include a physical copy of Bayonetta 2, however, bundled copy of Bayonetta 1 will only be available in digital form.

Both Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2bundles will release for Nintendo Switch on February 16.

To recall, the first instalment of Bayonetta launched back in 2009 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Its successor, Bayonetta 2, was released in 2014 exclusively for the Wii- U. Both are critically acclaimed action games with a Metacritic rating of 90+. Are you excited about Bayonetta 3? Let us know in the comments below.
