Apple rolled out a revamped version of the Apple Store app on Thursday. The update includes the new Sessions tab and the new Design for the app. The Apple Store version 5.0 gives a refresh user experience by including the new designs, new session tabs, expanded shopping features and a new user interface.
Apple in its event on Today at Apple is focusing on both the Discover and Sessions tabs. It allows the users to go through the upcoming session tabs through a Spotlight card interface. It also has a Signature Programs bar that provides the information for the educational offerings of Apple like Photo Walks and Teacher Tuesdays.
The new session tabs have a more in-depth look and it shows the upcoming presentations which include the comprehensive list of future sessions arranged by time and location. When a user taps on an event for a breakdown of class, options like sign up, directions to host Apple store and many more. It also allows its users to browse the upcoming sessions by date and category starting from Art and Design to Business to Product-specific tutorials.
The Apple also added a new dedicated search tab to find the additional information on products and locations of the store. The app also has an automated nearby store finder feature. the in-store improvements include the feature which allows customers to scan and buy the things directly from their iPhone.
The other changes in the app include the new options to view invoices, can edit the shipping details or can cancel the order. Before this update, customers used to modify their orders from Apple’s web interface. The app also includes the information about “ Certified Refurbished” models. The Apple store app can be downloaded from the iOS App Store and the size is about 68.2 MB.
