“We thank our team members for their professionalism and our customers for their understanding,” the airline wrote.

The passenger told police he was traveling from Portland, Oregon, to Manchester, New Hampshire, and drank several whiskeys and colas before boarding the first flight, and drank more during a layover in Chicago, according to authorities.

While on the flight from Buffalo, he got up to use the bathroom and was returning to his seat when he claimed to have a “medical problem urinating,” according to the criminal complaint.
