Accusing a woman of tampering with food

A Union, South Carolina, woman has been charged after authorities said she tampered with food while working at Burger King. (Video above: morning headlines from WYFF News 4) A report from the Union Police Department said authorities were called to the restaurant on North Duncan Bypass on July 9 for causing a disturbance. When the officers arrived, they found two women, who the report said were customers, who were unruly and throwing things away. The report said the women used profanity when speaking to staff at the restaurant. The two women were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. During the investigation, the authorities said they discovered that on the same day as the disturbance, the assistant manager of the restaurant, Jaime Major, took the French fries out of the trash and returned them to the customers. An arrest warrant stated that Major took the potatoes that the complainant had put in the trash and threw them into the fryer where fresh potatoes were placed on top. She said Major then put the new French fries from the trash in a bag and gave them to the customer. Al-Raed, 39, was charged with tampering with human food products.
