Eagle-eyed “Saturday Night Live” fans immediately knew something was wrong before musical guest Stevie Nicks’ second performance. After a large wave of comments on the Internet, it turned out that there was indeed a technical problem that was quickly resolved.

Seemingly smooth The 50th anniversary season episode (which featured Oasis impersonations and an adorable monologue from host Ariana Grande) hit a speed bump before Grande was set to reintroduce Nicks for her next song. This issue caused the show to place a Nicks billboard for approximately 50 seconds during the emergency response and then go to a commercial break.

When things were fixed, Grande appeared and introduced the legend once again. Shortly after the famous guitar intro from “Edge of Seventeen” begins, you can see Nick fiddling with her microphone pack on her right side, but in the end it didn’t affect the singer’s performance.

This wasn’t the singer’s first time on the “SNL” stage. Forty-one years ago, in 1983, Nicks performed “Nightbird” and “Stand Back” on stage after wrapping up her tour for her album The Wild Heart. Tonight’s host was comedian Flip Wilson.

And of course, there was the famous Stevie Nicks parody played by Lucy Lawless in which the siren reveals her next big project, “Stevie Nicks’ Fajita Roundup.” The beloved sketch aired in 1998.

“I didn’t get the joke” Lawless told The Ringer in their extensive oral history of fajita painting. “I’m not from America, and I’ve barely eaten proper Mexican food, Tex-Mex or anything.” In fact, Lawless took her concerns to the show’s creator, Lorne Michaels.

“I said, ‘Oh, Lorne, buddy, you know, this isn’t funny. Just, please, please, just drop it.’ ‘No harm, no foul,'” Lawless said.[Lorne was] Like, no, no, no. I think he’s a keeper here. I think he’s a keeper. You will do good.

The rest was Tex-Mex history.
