Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released soon, on October 25 on PS5 and PS4, and the latest action-packed version will support an enhanced headset mode. This mode uses Immerse Spatial Audio technology to “increase the accuracy of the direction of sounds” in-game, which can be further customized to suit your head shape. This third-party audio tool and alleged potential feature can be yours for just $20 for five years, and there’s even a free trial.
The revelation caused an initial knee-jerk reaction online, although it may be worth considering just how effective this new technology will ultimately be.
