Google today released what should be the last major build of the Android 15 QPR1 preview cycle with Beta 3 for Pixel devices ahead of the December launch. It’s been almost six weeks since the last release without any patch in between despite some notable bugs.

Images aren’t available yet, but over-the-air (OTA) streaming on the device is currently live.

Quarterly platform releases provide more significant changes compared to monthly bug fixes. It’s ideal for larger UI tweaks and new features that don’t warrant waiting for the next major Android release.

Historically, QPRs are relatively stable and are released as betas rather than developer previews. Google officially says it’s “suitable for general use,” with Android 15 QPR1 launching in December.

Other issues have been resolved

  • Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented users from interacting with individual alert notifications.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the system to crash while receiving an error report.
  • Fixed several other issues that were affecting system stability, connectivity, and interaction.

Solve Bluetooth problems

  • Fix the malfunction in BluetoothDevice.getType() Which mainly occurred in the test environment when Bluetooth resources were reused between virtual machine instances.
  • Improved LE volume control by enabling independent adjustment of the volume of each connected dock using the user interface and limiting volume knob adjustments to the primary dock.

An Android Beta Feedback app is available on Pixel for submitting issues. You can access it from the app drawer or via Quick Settings to log bugs in Google’s issue tracker while it’s an Android Beta community On Reddit.
