Grandview will be merged with Untitled following the acquisition of TPG

After much speculation, global investment firm TPG has officially acquired literary management company Grandview and will merge with TPG’s already owned talent management company Untitled.

The combined company will be known as Untitled, while TPG announced that its entertainment-focused group that it launched in the summer when it took a majority stake in Untitled will be called the Primary Group. In today’s announcement, TPG noted that Grandview will bolster Untitled’s efforts in lit representation.

Jeff Silver and Matt Rosen, who co-founded Grandview, will be named managing partners along with Untitled co-founders Jason Weinberg and Stephanie Simon. Grandview’s Meredith Pagana, Jeremy Platt and Ben Rowe will join Untitled partners Evan Haynie, Elise Konialian, Jennifer Levine, Jason Newman, Steven Noskov and Alyssa Vradenburg.

Grandview’s client list includes top names in the film industry such as Joseph Kosinski, Hiro Murai, Adam Wingard, and Dan Trachtenberg.

Our guiding principles have always been talent, ambition, and character. Jason and Stephanie have built Untitled off of these shared ideals, and their commitment to their clients is And their colleagues are inspiring.

“By partnering with TPG and Michele earlier this year, we identified an opportunity that will allow us to expand our client offerings and develop new ways to collaborate,” Weinberg and Simon said. “In Matt and Jeff, we have found industry leaders in literary management, along with the strong and exciting culture they have fostered that has attracted some of the most forward-thinking actors over the past decade. We are excited to collaborate with the entire Grandview team and roster of clients in the years ahead.”

Grandview has been at the center of sales talks, having previously been in talks to acquire Anonymous Content. Last year, Grandview’s sister production company Automatik merged with Range Media Partners.

As for TPG, the company sold majority stakes in CAA last year to Artémis. Further leisure acquisitions are expected for Primary Group under the leadership of CEO Michel Pratt.
