Two F-Zero Game Boy Advance games — one of which was previously Japan-only — are headed to the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has announced the arrival of two F-Zero games to the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online library.

F-Zero – GP Legend and the Japanese-only game F-Zero Climax will launch on the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online library on October 11, Nintendo said. Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can download and play these games.

Here’s the official blurb for both, per Nintendo:

FZERO – GB Legend – Get your adrenaline pumping, and race plasma-powered machines against the galaxy’s elite racers! Take on some of the most dangerous tracks in the universe and strive for victory at all costs – even if it means knocking your opponent off course. Compete in Grand Prix or Story modes, climb the rankings and unlock additional modes and characters. Put the pedal to the max, and get busy boosting, bumping and jumping your way to intergalactic glory!

F-zero peak – Push your driving to its limits! This 2004 sci-fi racing game, which was only released in Japan for the Game Boy Advance system, is packed with game modes designed to test your racing skills at the highest levels. Leave the Mach 1 in the dust as you hit the track against 23 other circling cars. Aim to be the fastest racer in the known universe in GRAND PRIX, challenge your limits in TIME ATTACK or test your reflexes in races using their special rule sets in SURVIVAL. You can also race on created courses in edit mode – and save up to 30 original courses!

Meanwhile, the new Nintendo Switch Racer F-Zero 99 update, which is live now, adds five tracks from the Japanese-only Satellaview version of Super Famicom F-Zero. The added ACE LEAGUE Grand Prix features these courses and playing them allows you to unlock tracks for use in Training Mode. Two of the tracks have a storm gimmick that reduces visibility for all racers.
