After a busy week, SpaceX is still slowing down. On Monday evening, the company plans to launch two more Galileo satellites into orbit for the European Space Agency.
According to the FAA advisory, the launch window is from 6:44 p.m. to 7:35 p.m. EST from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral. As of Saturday afternoon, SpaceX had not yet confirmed the mission.

These are Galileo’s satellites. These satellites are the latest in a constellation of navigation satellites, which according to the European Space Agency is “the world’s most accurate satellite navigation system.” First launched commercially in 2017, the constellation serves more than four billion smartphone users worldwide. Most smartphones currently sold in Europe run on the navigation service. Galileo is compatible with GPS and GLONASS, the Russian navigation system.
SpaceX was last contracted to launch these satellites in late April. Those two, known as satellites 29 and 30, have been tested and are currently in service. The launch on Sunday is scheduled to carry satellites 31 and 32.
