The Eagles announced in an updated injury report that superstar receiver AJ Brown will miss the team’s home opener on Monday against the Falcons.

Brown, who suffered a hamstring injury in practice Friday, missed practice Saturday and was initially listed as questionable. But the Eagles downgraded him on Sunday, meaning he will miss a regular-season game for the first time since joining the Eagles in 2022.

Brown, who caught five passes for 119 yards in the opener against the Packers, has 3R– Most receiving yards in the NFL since Opening Day 2022 with 3,071, trailing only Tyreek Hill (3,663) and CD Lamb (3,169).

With Brown out, Eagles plan to start final acquisition of 16-year-old Jahan DotsonDSelected in the 2022 draft, Dotson had 84 passes for 1,041 yards and 11 touchdowns in two seasons with the Commanders. The Eagles acquired Dotson and 5D– Round pick on August 22 for 3R-Choose round and two 7D-Tour choices.

There’s a good chance Colts No. 2 receiver Paris Campbell will coach the team.Second abbreviation– 2019 first-round pick, will be game-day activation. Campbell spent training camp with the Eagles.

Brown missed the Eagles’ wild-card loss to the Bucks in January with a knee injury, but he has played in 37 consecutive regular-season games with the Titans since December 2021. With Brown out for Tampa, DeVonta Smith caught eight passes for a postseason record 148 yards, but no other wide receiver had more than 22 yards.

In his career, Brown has played in 78 of a possible 84 games. On Friday in Sao Paulo, he increased his career receiving yards to 6,066 and became No. 14.D-Fastest player in NFL history to reach 6,000 yards in a career.

Rookie receiver Johnny Wilson, who played in 10 games in his NFL debut against the Packers, remains listed as questionable for Monday night. The only active Eagles receivers not listed on the injury report are Smith, Dotson and Britton Coffey.

Along with Campbell, Danny Gray, Kyle Phillips and Marcus Roseme-Jacquesnett are also on the training squad. Gray was a three-year-old player.R– Selected by the 49ers in 2022 and has one career catch. Phillips, 5D– Selected by the Titans in 2022, he has 23 catches for 259 yards. Jaxent, who was in camp with the Commanders alongside Dotson, is an undrafted free agent and has not played in the NFL.
