Jeans Addiction frontman Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro as he rushed on stage, prompting several crew members to drag him off stage, bringing the band’s Boston show to an abrupt end on Friday night.

Pharrell was in the middle of performing “Ocean Size” when he began to angrily grumble and told the crowd at Leader Bank Pavillion to “F–k you” before screaming into the microphone.

Then Pharrell, looking agitated, turned to Navarro on his right where he shouted again and threw his shoulder at the unsuspecting guitarist, According to the video From the embarrassing confrontation that was posted on social media.

The rockers faced each other as Pharrell approached Navarro’s face, who calmly grabbed him with his right arm.

In turn, Pharrell elbows the guitarist as several crew members and band members, including guitarist Eric Avery, run up and try to restrain the “Been Caught Stealing” singer and tell him to “stop.”

The lights on the stage were lowered, but several punches were exchanged as the reckless singer was removed from the audience’s view.

The remaining three band members – Navarro, Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins – headed to the front of the stage where they gave a warm farewell to the crowd.

The band members raised their hands above their heads, tapped their chests, and made peace signs, as the audience rose to their feet and applauded them enthusiastically.

“Perry was drinking a large bottle of wine throughout the evening, and Navarro and Avery were talking to each other throughout the show and seemed to be angrier than usual,” he claimed.

Neither the band members, Navarro, nor Perry had publicly commented on the incident as of Saturday morning.

The band, which is currently on its North American tour, has been facing issues with its vocalist during recent shows.

While performing on the Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City on September 10, Pharrell told the audience that his voice wasn’t in good shape, Diversity has been reported.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I have to be honest with you. There’s something wrong with my voice. I can’t get the notes out all of a sudden,” the singer said.

The next day Avery posted on Instagram To connect with fans and cheer them on for their second performance in Manhattan.

“I’m looking forward to getting another chance at this great rooftop spot tonight. I’m optimistic we’ll be better,” he said.

Jane’s Addiction is scheduled to perform at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, Connecticut on September 15.

The Grammy-nominated band’s 2024 tour would mark a reunion of the original four members after Avery returned in 2022 and Navarro, who missed tours in 2022 and 2023 due to a long battle with Covid.

Pharrell admitted that he missed his guitarist during Navarro’s absence.

“I wish my beloved guitarist was there for me,” Pharrell told The Post in September 2022.[But] “I live to bring entertainment and art to the world. Anything I can do to entertain and amaze you, that’s what I live for.”

To fill Navarro’s spot, the band brought in Queen of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

“How do you find a guitarist to replace Dave Navarro? We had to spread the word to the people we know and love, and Troy was the best of all the people we could think of,” Farrell said.
