Jackbox Games has hit upon a winning formula with the Jackbox Party Pack — the developer has released 10 successful packs over the past 10 years. These game packs contain a series of mini-games that can be played. One player hosts the game, and everyone else joins in using their mobile devices. Most of these games are family-friendly and revolve around telling jokes, stand-up comedy, trivia, or simple tests of skill.

Games like Quiplash (Fill in the closing lines of pre-written claims) and Survive Online (Writing horrible comments online to attribute to your trusted friends) has already inspired some pretty mature responses, and the NSFW pack was a popular request from players. Jackbox chose to focus on the theme, going with three games instead of five. “It feels like a more manageable set of games,” Brett said. “This is something new for us, in the sense of our first adult-rated game. So it was nice to have a more exclusive product where we could experiment with that.”
The Naughty Pack can be a game night in itself; while the multipicker, a modern all-in-one program, allows players to cycle through all ten packs, it’s not a perfect system and players still have to open and close packs when switching games.
