In her address to a security conference in Israel, Foreign Minister Annalena Beirbach called for the acceptance of the US-proposed Gaza ceasefire plan. It would lead to “long-term security for Israelis and Palestinians.”
BForeign Minister Annalena Berbach (Greens) called for an end to the Gaza war during her visit to Israel. The cease-fire plan presented by US President Joe Biden at the end of May shows a “clear path to this goal”, Baerbach told a security conference in the city of Herzliya on Monday.
The proposal would lead to a cease-fire and the release of Hamas hostages and “permanent security for Israelis and Palestinians,” Perbach said in a speech in English. “We urgently call on Hamas to accept this plan.” This war was started by radical Islamic terrorist organization. “It must end this terror,” the foreign minister insisted.
She knows that the proposals put forward by Biden are not supported by everyone in Israel. “Some are calling for continued Israeli control over the Gaza Strip and an indefinite war,” Baerbach said.

Tensions between Israel and Lebanon are “more than a concern”
