Miami -Rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Miami Beach on Thursday and charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing.

The “Goosebumps” singer, whose first name is Jack Webster, was taken into custody shortly before 2 a.m. at the Miami Beach Marina, police said.

Officers were called to the marina after a disturbance occurred on one of the yachts. When they arrived, Scott was standing by the dock shouting at those on board.

When officers asked him to sit down, Scott did so briefly and then stood up again. He then “began standing continuously, ignoring officers’ commands,” the arrest form states.

Officers noticed the odor of alcohol on Scott’s breath.

According to police, the person who called them on the yacht said he didn’t want to press charges, he just wanted Scott off his boat. Scott was then told to leave or he would be arrested.

“Throughout the long distance from the ship to the boardwalk, the defendant walked backwards, shouting obscenities at the ship’s passengers,” the report states.

Scott then got into a waiting car and left. About five minutes later, police say he returned and began walking toward the yacht.

Scott reportedly ignored officers’ commands to stop. When an officer stopped him, Scott behaved erratically and began screaming again, “disturbing the peace of residents of the marina and nearby apartment buildings,” according to the report.

He was detained and charged. He has since been released from prison.

On Thursday afternoon, Scott’s legal representative, Bradford Cohen, issued the following statement: “Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding. There was never a physical altercation, and we thank the authorities for working with us to reach a quick and amicable resolution.” . “.

The singer also posted on X: “The tour is coming. Six days until the Circus Maximus tour. For the record I’m going.”

This isn’t the first time the ten-time Grammy nominee has faced the law. He faces civil lawsuits after 10 people died and dozens were injured during his presence Astroworld Festival 2021 In Houston. The mass casualty incident occurred at Scott’s show on November 6, 2021, when a crowd of people began “pushing” toward the front of the stage, “and that caused some panic, and it started to cause some injuries,” Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña said. He said the day after the tragedy.

All 10 deaths occurred due to overcrowding and pressure within a single area, according to investigators.

No charges were filed against Scott after a grand jury declined to indict him and five other people on any criminal charges related to the deadly party.
