Dragon's Dogma 2 players have expressed frustration about this particular mission forcing them to rely on their memory.

Dragon's Dogma 2 isn't just about getting the best armor for your Arisen and hiring pawns to take on some enemies. Thanks to Sphinx's puzzles, the game also puts your intelligence to the test and, apparently, your memory as well.

One of the Sphinx puzzles requires players to “retrace” their steps back to the first location where they picked up the Finder Token. As you can imagine, this can be difficult to do in certain cases, especially if the player isn't aware of where to find it in the first place.

Although the game has only recently been available, the community has already expressed its frustration in a Reddit thread He mocks this endeavor. “The person who undertook this endeavor is mentally ill,” the OP claimed.

Many players who were frustrated with this quest jumped into the comments, sharing their experiences tackling this quest.

One player wrote: “Screw this quest. Spent hours searching the areas around Melve and Vernworth to find whatever crevice I found my first finder token in.”

After “running” and “diving on the same three enemies” in certain areas, they eventually gave up and resorted to using a mod to find the location of the token.

Meanwhile, another user claimed to have taken a screenshot of the location of the first tokens so he could authenticate them. However, they ended up giving up after they discovered that “there were more than 200 of them.”

Regarding the mechanics of this mission, one user said: “From a game design perspective, it's stupid. Your goal is to make a fun game, and that's the opposite of fun; it's frustrating.”

However, some players claimed that they were lucky and could remember where they got their first token. One way to prevent missing this is to know where to get the easiest Finder codes in Dragon's Dogma 2.
