BOSTON — Travel plans for passengers on two Jet Blue planes were upended Thursday morning after the planes collided on the runway at Logan Airport.

A JetBlue plane was entering the aisle of a de-icing platform on Thursday morning when it collided with the tail of another JetBlue plane on an adjacent platform, the airline said in a statement. The collision resulted in damage to one of the plane's wings and the tail part of the other.

No passengers or crew members were harmed during the incident, and both aircraft were taken out of service for repairs.

“Safety is JetBlue’s priority, and we will work to determine how and why this accident occurred,” the airline said in a statement.

Passengers on flights 777 to Las Vegas and 551 to Orlando will travel on other aircraft.

Pictures shared by passengers show clear damage to the wing of one of the planes.

Passenger Dave Sutter told Boston 25 News he was headed to Las Vegas to work on a Super Bowl event when the accident occurred after they pulled away from the gate. Sutter said the plane was full. He was waiting on the runway to return to the gate when Boston 25 spoke to him.
