David A. ArnoldComedian, Actor, Writer, and Producer Netflix Comedy Specials was a writer/producer on Fuller House reboot, died today, September 7th. He was 54 years old.

Arnold’s family issued a statement confirming the death. “It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely death of our husband, father, brother and friend David A. Arnold. David passed away peacefully today at his home and doctors have judged the cause of death of natural causes. Please keep our family in prayer and respect our privacy at this time, as we are shocked and devastated by this loss.”

Arnold started as a stand-up comedian, performing at the Montreal Comedy Festival and beyond. Jamie Foxx Lava Palloza On Comedy Central, among other projects.

He wrote several comedy series, including: Meet Brown (TBS), Ricky Smiley Show (TV One), Whiteley raise (private) and Tyler Perry House in Pine (TBS). He also created and was an executive producer and director of the show Nickelodeonhit string That girl lies, Which makes him one of the few black models in Hollywood.

Arnold’s first comedy special on Netflix, David A. Arnold: Fat Ballerinadebuted in 2019. His follow-up comedy special on streaming device, not for the weak, It premiered on July 19.

At the time of his untimely death, Arnold had made three stops on a four-month national comedy tour.

Chris Spencer has issued a statement mourning his best friend. “Our tight-knit comics community mourned the loss of one of the greatest characters who ever did so. He was admired by his peers, respected by veterans, and looked up to by the thriving comedians he mentored. He will be sorely missed, especially by his comedic fraternity.”
