Uber on Wednesday announced several new features aimed at helping customers save money on rides and food. The product updates, unveiled at an annual expo in New York City, include the launch of Uber Shuttle, where passengers can use Uber to reserve seats on a local shuttle bus for trips to the airport, work and live events, such as sports games and concerts. Meanwhile, Uber Caregiver will allow customers to book rides for the people they care for and order medical supplies and groceries on their behalf. Other new initiatives include discounted student memberships, Costco perks, and the ability to schedule UberX Share rides and “menus” on Uber Eats.
