The popular job search site has already seen a 40% increase in remote job openings between March 2023 and March 2024. Several roles with a high volume of job listings offer salaries over $100,000, including real estate analyst and telemedicine physician.
The most in-demand remote jobs companies are hiring for include roles in technology, sales, and marketing, according to new research from FlexJobs.
These areas saw an approximately 30% increase in the number of full-time remote listings on FlexJobs between December 2023 and May 2024:
To help remote job seekers find the best high-paying jobs, FlexJobs has identified three jobs in these categories that pay at least $100,000 and provide ample full-time opportunities.
1. Product Manager
Average income: $106,812
2. Account manager
Average income: $103,820
3. Business Development Manager
Average income: $113,961
“There is a common misconception that hiring slows significantly during the summer, but aside from some occasional dips due to the holidays, most companies across a variety of industries are still hiring, including remote jobs,” says the career expert. If you apply for jobs during the summer, you may have a better chance of landing a remote job, “because some of your competitors may be taking time off from their search,” Spencer adds.
To make your remote work application stand out — no matter the time of year — Spencer recommends reaching out to employees on your target company list.
“You want to build relationships with people who are doing the kind of work you hope to do on teams you hope to work on one day,” he says. “Having an established relationship with your boss or potential colleagues can give you a huge advantage.”
